Ff14 Unable To Complete Version Check Pc

Jeff,Thank you for sharing this script. I'm starting to use saltstack for automated configuration management and their Windows Updates module has been unable to find a specific KB that I was interested in verifying was installed on computers. I've been unableto track down why the module doesn't display this KB (and probably others).

Command-prompt to check installed Windows Updates. Windows Server. I'm starting to use saltstack for automated configuration management and their Windows Updates module has been unable to find a specific KB that I was interested in verifying was installed on computers. I've been unable to track down why the module doesn't. System file check (SFC) Scan and Repair System Files & DISM to fix things SFC cannot. The ISO must be exactly the same version as the running OS. An ISO of 10586.0 will not repair a running system of 10586.35 because it has additional updates and files. System file check (SFC) Scan & repair System files. Basic troubleshooting. Unable to install Windows updates. Windows XP users may experience issues while connecting/downloading the Windows update. This issue can be due to corrupted/incorrect version of IUCTL.dll file. To resolve the issue with Windows update, perform the following.

The Windows GUI shows it installed, however, but the get-hotfix command does not. Your script DOES show it, though!!!KB4012215 is the KB in question. Are you able to explain to me what part of your script is exposing this otherwise hidden KB? That might help me in figuring out how to filter it in with saltstack.Regards,Oliver.

Currently running Windows 10 Pro 64 Bits v1511 (build 10586). When build 14393 (aka Anniversary Update) came out, I installed it on my laptop (which was running v1511 Home Edition), but I failed to install it on my main computer. After several (around halfa dozen) tries I gave up and postponed it to a later date. Now with build 15063 I decided to try it again. Again, upgrade went fine on laptop, but it failed on desktop. It always gave the same error code: 0x8007042B - 0x4000D.

After digging through (litterally) hundreds of megabytes of logs, I found the culprit:2017-04-03 23:19:19, Error 0x08097b MIG Abandoning apply due to error for object: C:UsersUSERAppDataLocalMicrosoftInternet Explorer MSIMGSIZ.DATgle=0x00000005Not knowing why it had failed on this file (nor what it was used for), after looking it up I discovered on MSDN it was used as an image size cache, so it doesn't seem to be a critical file but I don't want to try my luck by simplydeleting it.I was advised to run SFC then DISM to repair system files before trying again to upgrade. While SFC found damaged files (and failed to repair them), I was unable to get DISM to work properly.

I first ran it using the /ScanHealthoption and it replied it was repairable and it suceeded, same for /CheckHealth.But I've been unable to use the /RestoreHealth, from the basicDism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth to Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:wim:H:sourcesinstall.wim:1 /LimitAccess (found -H: being a Windows 10 iso mount point). But every try gave the same result with error0x800f081f (can't find source files). I think I'm missing something, but what? The correct DISM RestoreHealth syntax and workarounds are shown in which I would complete all steps to optimize it for version update to install. However at this point I'd wait until April 11th and try running the Creators' Version Update fromor running bootable media created from it.Everything further that can be done is here forA version update that fails to install is hardly worth rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic since it means its an inferior install, likely the Upgrade or a Factory install (or Both) which no tech enthusiast would ever run in the first place. At one time I struggled with finding source files and recently came across information which could have been related to my prior struggles.I don't know if this applicable or not for your issues but it may be related to having the exact version build number:you get the error message 'cannot find source files' you need to have an ISO file mounted and need to specify where it is located with the below commandThe ISO must be exactly the same version as the running OS.

An ISO of 10586.0 will not repair a running system of 10586.35 because it has additional updates and files.DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /source:WIM: X:SourcesInstall.wim:1 /LimitAccess Where ' X' is the drive letter where the ISO is located. Use the latest media which will also bring you up to date. If any problems follow. If you want to wait until April 11th the Creator's Version update will be loaded inso you'll have the very latest. It may also work better, but such a version Update will always work better when manually installed instead of depending upon Windows Update.
